Billford was my attempt at teaching myself the process of sculpting, molding, and casting using monster clay, silicone rubbers and poly-urethane resin. I was also trying to get him completed in time for Fairieworlds, an outdoor music festival held every summer at Horning’s Hideout, just outside of Portland, OR. He turned out to be a big hit! I learned so much creating this guy and I hope to have the chance to do something like this again sooner than later. Special thanks goes to my mom for her help with the cloth work, my dad for his advice with construction, my wife for her constant love and support through all this madness, and all the makers out there on the internet. I couldn’t have done any of this without your advice and wisdom!
